New Mini Countryman S Spied With Familiar Look, Larger Dimensions
„Mini is working on its next-generation models that should begin arriving in 2023. Just recently, the British company teased the two-door hatch with a camouflaged prototype powered by an electric powertrain. We can now take a look at the larger four-door Countryman in the sportier S trim, as our photographers captured a test car on public roads in Germany.

As you can see from the gallery below, this trial vehicle looks quite familiar when it comes to its exterior design, though it’s significantly larger than the outgoing model. There already are rumors that the new Countryman will be approximately 7.87 inches (20 centimeters) longer than its predecessor, which would put it at around 177 inches (4.5 meters).“

Neuer MINI 2023: Erste Erlkönig-Fotos zeigen F56-Nachfolger
„Noch vor den ersten richtigen Erlkönig-Fotos von ungewollt fotografierten Prototypen liefert uns MINI eine erste eigene Vorschau auf die nächste Generation der Kleinwagen-Ikone. Der für 2023 geplante F56-Nachfolger präsentiert sich dabei mit einer weiß-schwarzen Urban Camo-Beklebung und zeigt schon jetzt, dass sich der Brite auch in seiner fünften Generation treu bleiben wird: Sowohl die Proportionen als auch die unverwechselbare Form von Greenhouse, Scheinwerfern, Kühlergrill und Rückleuchten verraten den MINI aus jeder Perspektive als Verwandten des Klassikers von Alec Issigonis. Weitere ikonische Details wie der Lufteinlass in der Motorhaube, die Side Scuttles in den vorderen Kotflügeln und das vertraute Felgen-Design lassen die Herzen von MINI-Fans schon jetzt neugierig höher schlagen.
Keine Überraschung sind die “Electric Test Vehicle”-Aufkleber an den Türen des Kleinwagens, der im Gegensatz zu diversen Wettbewerbern offenbar weiterhin als Dreitürer angeboten werden soll. Als sauberes und lokal emissionsfreies Elektroauto für den Stadtverkehr wird der neue MINI 2023 perfekt ins Nachhaltigkeits-Portfolio der BMW Group passen, das auch dank ihm ab 2023 ein reines Elektroauto in jedem wichtigen Segment umfassen und daher “ICE-Ban-ready” sein wird. Dass der Elektro-Kleinwagen in China gebaut wird, liefert einen wenig überraschenden Hinweis auf einen der wichtigsten Märkte für die nächste MINI-Generation.

Trotz großer Unterschiede bei der Technik und weit voneinander entfernten Produktions-Standorten – während der Stromer in China gebaut wird, rollen die konventionell angetriebenen Modelle wie bisher in Oxford vom Band – sollen sich die unterschiedlichen MINIs optisch zum Verwechseln ähnlich sein.
Dass der neue MINI 2023 auch mit einem gründlich überarbeiteten Innenraum mit noch stärkerer Vernetzung auf den Markt kommt…“

Next Generation MINI Hatch Previewed Ahead Of 2023 Launch„MINI is giving us an early peek at it’s next generation electric hatch as well as launching a new brand strategy simply known as BIG LOVE. A few weeks ago we detailed what we believed the next generation MINI models would look like and when we’d see them. Now we have some official answers that define details of the new direction for the brand. Starting in 2023, MINI will be releasing a new generation of cars and crossovers with a focus on all electrification. Internal combustion (ICE) is sticking around for another ten years (as is the manual transmission) but the focus for MINI is on electrification across the line-up. This will start with an all new electric MINI hatch made in China and be immediately followed by an all electric Countryman. The details are where things get interesting.
