As MINI does with all its models, the Countryman is undergoing suspension development this summer at the Nurburgring. Under heavy cladding we don’t get much of a look at the F60 other than seeing how it performs at the famed ‘Ring and its overall silhouette.
The 2017 MINI Countryman will debut next year with sales beginning in the fall of 2016. Longer, wider and more aggressive looking, the Countryman is set to become the largest MINI yet. The interior will be very similar to the Clubman and will carry over the current engine range as found on all the FXX MINIs with a couple of exceptions. The plugin hybrid drivetrain we’ve been reporting about will likely be an eventual offering on the Countryman. Also the US could see a diesel offering as well if the market conditions warrant it.
Outside look for 19″ (optional) wheels and a much more aggressive style throughout.
