Mini steht für flinkes Fahren mit besonders authentischem Fahrgefühl – das soll sicher auch der neue Mini Cooper vermitteln, der erstmals Anfang September 2023 auf der IAA in München der Öffentlichkeit präsentiert wurde. Dabei setzt die Marke aus dem BMW-Konzern mit der neuen Generation nicht nur auf die vollelektrischen Varianten Mini Cooper E und Mini Cooper SE, sondern der Mini soll auch ein Verbrenner bleiben. Schlechte Nachrichten allerdings für die Fans Handschaltung: Mini-Chefin Stefanie Wurst ließ gegenüber dem britischen Magazin TopGear verlauten, dass für den kommenden Cooper keine Handschaltung geplant sei. Für Diejenigen, für die damit eine Ära zu Ende geht, gibt es noch eine letzte Chance, den Mini mit Handschaltung zu ergattern: Der auf 999 Exemplare limitierte sportliche Mini John Cooper Works 1to6 Edition ist aktuell ab 39.800 Euro (Stand: September 2023) bestellbar. Und auch hier lautet die Beschreibung auf der Mini-Webseite: "Die Mini John Cooper Works 1to6 Edition ist das letzte Mini John Cooper Works Modell mit manuellem 6-Gang-Schaltgetriebe".

2025 MINI Cooper S (ICE) To Get Power Upgrade

The 2025 MINI Cooper S will have an even 200hp coupled exclusively to MINI’s revised dual clutch transmission. With a likely increase in torque, this will move the Cooper S closer to the (unchanged) 231 hp from the JCW.

Interestingly MINI is upping the power in the Countryman S to 214hp with the same B48 four cylinder. It would seem that a simple difference in programming could push the new 2025 MINI Cooper S even further upwards with that 214hp tune.

The Manual Is Dead

Pour one out for the manual transmission as MINI has killed one of our favorite options. In its place MINI will be offering a revised version of the familiar seven-speed dual clutch transmission across all MINI Cooper models. The revised dual clutch transmission is just like the one offered in current Cooper and Cooper S models combining two partial transmissions in a single housing to create smooth and quick shifts.

Also gone is the traditional gear selector we’ve become used to. MINI is moving all controls for the F66 (like all of its new models) too the dash just below the the large OLED screen.

MINI F56 - Tieferlegung per Federn von Eibach

Nach unserem England-Urlaub haben wir Jack mittels Federn von Eibach (30mm) dem Boden näher gebracht.

Nach dem er jetzt einige Kilometer zurück gelegt hat, sollte jetzt die finale Höhe erreicht sein.

Aktuell steht er vorn etwas tiefer als hinten.

Japp Schnitzer bezieht die Federn bei Eibach.

Mir war der Preis zum direkten Einbau von Eibachs zu gross.

Mein Angebot für die Schnitzer-Federn damals lag bei knapp 900,- und der Einbau der Eibach war knapp 500,- inkl. TÜV. Der Mehrpreis war es mir nicht wert und ich bereu es bisher auch nicht.

2025 MINI Cooper’s Three Cylinder Engine Is Dead

Of course there will be a standard Cooper or Countryman so what will replace it? According to sources MINI will only offer the 2.0L B48 engine in all of its petrol powered models moving forward. This will allow for greater economies of scale as it readies the B48 to become Euro 7 compliant for 2025.

Along with the single engine, MINI will also be offering a single transmission. Dead is the much loved manual and in its place is a revised dual clutch that MINI currently offers. The revised dual clutch transmission is just like the one offered in current Cooper and Cooper S models combining two partial transmissions in a single housing to create smooth and quick shifts.

Ich nehme gar nichts wahr bzgl IAA 2023. Aber vielleicht bin ich zu früh, denn eigentlich ist Sommer und es fühlt sich nur wie Herbst an ;)))))

MINI F56 JCW - mögliche Felgenkombinationen

Kann ggf. auch jemand etwas dazu sagen, welche MINI-Winterkompletträder für den JCW möglich sind (17 Zoll auf 205er Reifen, am liebsten wenigsten im Winter Non-RFT)?

Habe gelesen, dass die von mir konfigurierten 18 Zoll JCW Cup Spoke 2-tone (leider nur RFT) beim JCW wegen der Bremsen extra auf breiteren 7 1/2J-Felgen statt 7J montiert werden.

Führt das auch dazu, dass man bei den MINI-Winterkompletträdern auf "etwas Spezielles" zurückgreifen muss?

Interessante Denkansätze aber was hat das mit Erfahrungen mit WKDA zu tun? Ich hatte zuletzt einen guten Preis für die Stadtmöhre. Also bin ich hin und plötzlich konnte der Preis nicht mehr gehalten werden
