Dazu kommen größere Lufteinlässe an der Front, LED-Scheinwerfer und eine neue Frontschürze mit ebensolchem Grill. Am Heck des Mini JCW Concept sehen wir eine neue Schürze samt Diffusor und dickem Sportauspuff. Markantere Seitenschweller, ein großer Heckspoiler sowie zusätzliche Aeroteile an der C-Säule beschließen das Aero-Gesamtkunstwerk.
Wann kommt der Mini JCW 2014?
Während Mini den Antrieb für den neuen JCW noch bestätigen muss, kann man davon ausgehen, dass es sich um eine aufgebohrte Version des neuen 2,0-Liter-Turbo aus dem Mini Cooper S 2014 handeln wird. Derzeit leistet das Aggregat 192 PS, irgendwas zwischen 220 und 250 PS scheint also realistisch.Obwohl der Mini JCW offiziell als Konzept auf der Detroit Motor Show 2014 steht, ist eine Serienproduktion mehr als wahrscheinlich. Ob der Mini John Cooper Works 2014 auf den Markt kommt, ist aber noch unklar.

An early prototype of the 2015 MINI John Cooper Works was spied conducting winter testing in Scandinavia.
In the morning we brought live pics of the MINI JCW concept from NAIAS and now we take a look at the forthcoming production model which is set to arrive sometime this year. The concept gives us a clear indication about what to expect in terms of exterior styling from the range-topping MINI with a beefy body kit to match the additional power.
The vehicle spotted in these pictures is an early prototype wearing the body of the Cooper S but with the JCW-spec front bumper which has larger air intakes on its sides. We also notice the typical red JCW brake calipers for all four wheels and a centrally-mounted dual exhaust rear setup.
Power of the MINI John Cooper Works will come from a 4-cylinder, 2.0-liter turbocharged engine which is expected to have an output estimated of 217 bhp (162 kW). The concept had 18-inch wheels but the production model will likely ride on 17-inch alloys and will feature a lowered sports-tuned suspension.
Set to be unveiled later this year, MINI could decide to show the JCW in March at the Geneva Motor Show or in September in Paris.Edit, Bild ergänzt...
