Nice Car R99!!!
Good Work!!
Thank you!!
Bit of an update today...
So after deciding to turn my attention to the interior I ordered a custom steering wheel and also the JCW gear knob with the aluminium shaft.
I have been sent a couple of shots of the finished product from the guy in Latvia who has completed the work on my spare steering wheel.
He has added:
Flat bottom
Thicker padding
Re trim in napa leather with alcantara
Red stitiching
Red centre band
He has provided a great service, sending me messages daily with progress updates and he answered loads of questions before I posted it out to him! It took a week for Parcel Farce to deliver it to him, and he's managed to turn this around in 2 days! Should be back in the post to me by tomorrow fingers crossed.
The gear knob looks like this:

Just had another update from him, it's going in the post today and he's built it all back up
and here's a 50/50 to show old vs new:
perfect....
looks really nice...
Nice!!!
How much coast it?
Nice!! I hate my current steeringwheel after having a real JCW full leather steeringwheel in my R52. The "JCW" badged steeringwheel i have now is not thick enough and not soft enough when you grab it. I'm really looking forward to a real JCW F5.. series steeringwheel!
So the JCW gear knob turned up today - differences are red stitch on the gaiter and red lettering on the knob. The other obvious change is the aluminium shaft and smaller gaiter.
It is only a visual upgrade to be honest, but I think it looks great.
Final job for the wheel is to try and find somewhere to carbon skin the 3 spokes.....
perfect....

245 EUR which included return postage to the UK from Latvia

I don't think MINI will ever make anything like that for the F56. I hope I am proved wrong, but the aftermarket range is awful from MINI for the F56. No JCW carbon, no JCW seats, no JCW steering wheel / gear knob / hand brake
Its really poor from MINI
